23rd Annual NEOCC Fall Classic
Dear Members, Friends & Guests;
The 23rd Annual NorthEastern Ohio Camaro Club Camaro Fall Classic was held on September 10th & 11th at Summit Racing Equipment in Tallmadge, Ohio. The event celebrated its 23rd show and also the 50th Anniversary of the Camaro. Two days filled with warm weather and sunshine attracted 229 Camaros to this year’s event, 52 more than the 2015 Fall Classic. With every generation and almost every year represented, NEOCC raised $10,000 for charity; Aluminum Cans for Burned Children (ACBC), a $6500 increase from last year’s show.
Special thanks to General Motors whom provided 4 brand new 2017 Camaros for the weekend for enthusiasts to get up close and personal with, ask questions and take pictures. Tom Henry with Tom Henry Chevrolet and Tom Henry Racing had 4 Camaros on display as well for many to enjoy. Ryan Cykiert, with Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, was in attendance all weekend and awarded a crystal choice award to one Camaro in each generation. The Grumpy Jenkins Camaro was on site for a special display on Saturday and enjoyed by many. Camaro Life c/o Andrew Garcia, Steven & Bonnie Roy/Kevin Voytosh with Camaros Unlimited, Tubbs Chiropractic, Mark Cole Insurance Agency, Stainless Works of Chagrin Falls, Club Motor Estates of Broadview Hts, #1 Performance Center, a division of Flynn Auto Group featuring 4 Camaros, all had vendor displays set up on the show field. Many other show sponsors were on site throughout the weekend as well walking the show. DJ Dean with Dusk Till Dawn provided the sound and entertainment at the event as well as Hot Soss Don provided the food concessions.
Aluminum Cans for Burned Children’s representatives; Gary Coen, Kim George and John Gardner were present from ACBC and shared their gratitude for monies raised to support their organization. The true champions of the weekend are those that we support each and every year with ACBC.
The Annual Fall Classic just keeps growing each year due to the support we receive from our community, sponsors and friends. There were 13 Camaro Clubs represented along with guests from 12 states and Canada. Special recognition goes out to the Summit Co Sheriff’s Office and the Richfield Police Dept. for safely escorting 125 Camaros from Summit Racing to the Saturday Evening Charity Banquet; Club Motor Estates, a country club for cars.
9th Annual Mustang vs Camaro Showdown
The 9th Annual Mustang vs Camaro Showdown was hosted by the Mahoning Valley Mustang Club on June 4th, 2016. The Camaro’s dominated and corralled the Ponies this year with a win of 86 Camaros to 59 Mustangs. While the weather was a gentle mist and overcast skies in the morning, the sunshine and warmer temps surfaced early afternoon. Cazzco Printing was onsite selling shirts, DJ John Ropper provided entertainment and both clubs contributed a variety of auction baskets and door prizes. Members drove in from as far as Columbus and Sandusky, OH to South of Pittsburgh, PA. Proceeds were raised for a local Mahoning County family thru Angels for Easter Seals. Thank you to all members and families for participating in this years Showdown. Please stay tuned for an announcement of a new location in 2017 when NEOCC takes on the 10th Anniversary Celebration!

NEOCC 2015 Holiday Party Wrap Up
Looking back on this past weekend’s Holiday Party – all I can say is WOW & THANK YOU!
While the officers have worked diligently over the past few months to bring you a very nice Holiday Party this year – we did just that. Halliday’s Winery in Lake Milton, OH was the event’s location this year. Hats off to their team for making our visit a great one. Siciliano’s in Ravenna catered our Italian themed dinner and provided a very generous variety of food this year as well as each of you brining some delicious homemade desserts. We had about 70 in attendance with several cancellations due to illness. Frank & Maria Salamone, Club Sponsor from Sepentini joined us for the evening and awarded Brian & Dawn Schell, NEOCC Members & longest distance travelers from Michigan a gift certificate for a Complete Detail during their next visit. We also had folks attend from Pittsburgh and Columbus areas.
What I was not aware of in the planning of this event, was that Cindy Caldwell and most of you that RSVP’d were contacted individually by Cindy letting you know that she was coordinating my surprise 30th birthday party to take place this very same evening. So as you can imagine, I was totally shocked to walk into a room filled with a Huge Cake with my Camaro; Enferno on it, Photo Collages, Orange balloons with cards/gifts set up in the room that I had just stepped out of for no more than 5 minutes prior. I cannot begin to thank all of you for your kindness and generosity, friendship and long distances you traveled to make this weekend one of the best events we’ve had. Thank you very much for the gifts and cards from near and afar. THANK YOU for making 30 feel so good.
