25th Annual NEOCC Fall Classic

The 25th Annual NorthEastern Ohio Camaro Club Camaro Fall Classic was held on September 8th at Summit Racing Equipment in Tallmadge, Ohio. The event celebrated its 25th anniversary. While it was advertised and planned for a two day event, the weather forced us to make a quick decision for a one day affair. With every generation and almost every year represented, NEOCC raised $26,000 for charity; Aluminum Cans for Burned Children (ACBC), an $11,000 increase from last year’s show.

NEOCC welcomed guests to The Venue Banquet Center in Tallmadge on Friday evening for the Meet & Greet event which was well attended. Special thanks to Matt Hollingsworth & Beth Genovese as well as The Venue’s Catering Team for a great evening. Entertainment was led by Jim Gill.

Special thanks to General Motors whom provided 6 brand new 2018-2019 Camaros for the day for enthusiasts to see up close and talk with Jim Kalahar & Todd Christensen of the GM Camaro Team. Scott Settlemire, retiree of General Motors joined Tom Henry with Tom Henry Racing to display 3 Camaros as one of the show sponsors. Brandon Baker, of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, was in attendance and awarded a crystal choice award to one Camaro in each generation. Paul & Kathy Denski, of Metro Detroit brought their 2018 Camaro Copo Hot Wheels Edition, Kevin Voytosh, of Camaros Unlimited, Andrew Garcia of Camaro Life, Tony Fritz of Leonard Truck & Trailer, #1 Performance Center, a division of Flynn Auto Group displayed the GM Performance & Accessories Semi Truck, all had vendor displays set up on the show field. Many other show sponsors were on site throughout the day as well walking the show. DJ Dean with Dusk Till Dawn Entertainment provided the sound and entertainment at the event as well as Curt’s Concessions provided the food and ice cream.

As the show concluded at Summit Racing on Saturday, Lt. Matos of the Highway Patrol escorted approx. 100 Camaros to Louisville for a private dinner banquet catered by The Venue Banquet Center and live auction. DJ Anthony Maroon led the entertainment for the evening. There was a sponsors recognition, catered dinner and live auction. Over 300 guests were in attendance from club members, to sponsors, to guests and friends of the Sarchione’s – over $13K was raised for charity at the live auction.

Aluminum Cans for Burned Children’s representatives were present from ACBC and shared their gratitude for monies raised to support their organization. The true champions of the weekend are those that we support each and every year with ACBC.

The Annual Fall Classic just keeps growing each year due to the support we receive from our community, sponsors and friends. There were 15 Camaro Clubs represented along with guests from 10 states and Canada.

Thanks for your continued support and dedication to NEOCC.
